This is a specialized hospital mainly focused on acute care. It was largely rebuilt and repaired in 2006, but throughout the construction the hospital was open as usual. We applied base-isolation structures to its high-rise ward and low-rise building for outpatients, in order to secure their hospital activities even under severe earthquakes. As for the triangle-shaped ward, we placed the staff station at the center, and gave a clear view of the floor, so that people can easily grasp the layout.
