This facility provides high-level medical treatment as the central general hospital in the remote islands of Nagasaki Prefecture. The outpatient and hospital supply departments are located together in a highly usable and functional layout. We aimed to create a facility in harmony with the surrounding environment by employing a people- and nature-friendly design modeled after the concept of Kenkouin (a facility used both for medical treatment and as an extension of our daily lives).
